Caribbean Wedding: Anabeli and Ernesto

My first wedding in Cuba the place I was born. I never thought I would get hire there to shoot let alone a wedding. I was so excited when they reached out for photos. Weddings there are completely different then the ones we have here in the US. They were the nicest most genuine couple. Usually with wedding I have a sample timesheet of whats gonna go down that day but with this wedding I was on my feet the entire day with a very flexible agenda. That's the beauty of it all, being flexible with whatever the day will bring. Something that really helped me was knowing spanish and the cuban culture. Everything went so smooth that day and as for me I got every shot on my list. Some people might no agree with getting married young but here is the thing if you know already know this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with why wait till you are a certain age. What is the point of wasting this time to wait. I believe that if you are madly in love with someone and you picture a future together, the commitment is there, why wait? No point on delaying your story. The story began when two people felt something, so let the story continue by making that commitment to being together for the rest of your days.

This wedding was culturally not so different and I'll tell you why. Every wedding I've been to as a guest or photographer people always take out their phones to take photos. I would just like to say to please if you are a guest don't do it. That's why we're there to make sure everything is captured but by having guest assets you by pulling out their phone and taking pictures we miss those perfect moments we are supposed to capture. With that being said, the black and white photo was a little hard to capture. Everyone was in front of me to take a picture of them kissing. Luckily I was able to get the shot. I wish you guys would've seen my face when I got it. I was so happy that regardless of the circumstances I was able to get the photo. Was I stress? yes, because this was the shot. This was the shot that told me, Sinai you did it. This is is!

Would I do another wedding in Cuba? without a doubt, YES.

It was an amazing experience and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to capture this young long.
